Archival Extracts
The Great Silence
In July 2025, a patrimonial rupture altered the course of the Maison.
A substantial portion of its primary archives was lost, including early registers, preparatory works, and over sixty issued compositions inscribed through years of institutional placement.
The following extracts constitute a partial selection from the correspondence preserved from that period.
“The damage caused by this event is deeply regrettable. Certain works remain preserved within institutional collections, ensuring a form of continuity in their conservation.”
“This is a difficult chapter, but I have no doubt Atelier WOCS will emerge stronger, carrying forward the memory of what was lost, and the spirit that has always set it apart.”
“The loss of works of such significance, together with historical materials, constitutes a cultural loss for those who recognise the heritage embodied by Atelier WOCS.”
Memory does not declare itself.
It is recognised.
It is preserved.
