Creation Origins

Heure du Monde is an original composition and the inaugural piece unveiled from the Astra Temporis collection at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025.

This seminal work marks a turning point in the Maison’s evolution, where horology, geography, and symbolic design merge into a singular visual language. Shaped by the memory of early world timers and the elegance of intercontinental travel, it offers a new framework for contemplating time: one where each hour touches the world.

Issued in a strictly limited series of 6 and 12 numbered exemplars, each composition is individually identified, formally authenticated, and registered within the custodial framework, and is accompanied by an official Certificate of Authentication.

Curatorial Note

Heure du Monde is a tribute to a turning point in modern history, when the conquest of distance redefined our perception of time. This composition recalls the silent elegance of early world timers and the golden age of aviation, when the first intercontinental flights linked distant metropolises through invisible meridians. The dial becomes an atlas, not of borders, but of shared memory: each city an echo, each hour a chapter in a story of connection.

Suspended above, the legendary Douglas DC-3 traverses the firmament like a compass needle, neither bound by destination nor rushed by movement. Around it, the world orbits in harmony: symbols of civilisation stand in quiet dialogue, tracing a choreography of time where every landmark is both origin and destination.

Here, geography folds into geometry. Time does not elapse, it arranges itself. The dial becomes a stage where monuments of history and feats of exploration align with cosmic precision.

Heure du Monde is a composition that preserves the aura of a global patrimony, one carried not in motion, but in meaning. With each viewing, it invites the collector to take part in an enduring tradition: to see time as something that links, elevates, and ultimately, belongs to those who cross its thresholds with intent.

Cultural Significance

Presented within the official Salon at Watches and Wonders 2025, Astra Temporis collection marks a defining moment: the first time a non-horological Institution officially hosted during the salon.

This inaugural presence lays the foundation for a new patrimony: one shaped by the visual codes of time, architecture, and celestial order. With each composition, the collection inscribes a chapter into the evolving history of horology, affirming its place among the cultural legacies born in Geneva.

Material Constitution

  Method

Realised through a proprietary Étorie™ protocol, combining natural pigment inks with archival-grade cotton paper. Select works may receive discreet hand-applied interventions, applied under controlled conditions to reinforce material depth and visual coherence.

Conditions of Inscription  Each composition is formally constituted through inscription into the Register, under defined custodial conditions governing its material integrity, attribution, and long-term transmission.

BECOMING A CUSTODIAN

Each tableau is delivered in a handcrafted frame, prepared to museum-grade standards and finished in accordance with the preferences of its future Custodian.

Positioned within Switzerland’s living cultural heritage continuum, each composition is entrusted only to individuals selected through the custodial framework for their role in preserving and transmitting its legacy.

To initiate the process, contact is established through the Heritage Custodianship Liaison, who oversees the Register and coordinates private meetings within designated Cultural Chambers.
