Custodianship
The Role of A Guardian
A Guardian does not collect. A Guardian is entrusted with a recorded position.
Guardianship establishes a formal relationship between a composition and its designated holder within the continuity of the Geneva Register.

Preserving Identity Through Inscription
Each composition attributed within the Geneva Register contributes to a structured framework of continuity anchored in Geneva.
Through attribution, inscription, and transmission, Guardianship ensures that each composition remains identified, preserved, and situated within an uninterrupted record.
The Guardian’s Responsibility

Upon attribution, a composition is recorded within the Geneva Register and associated with a designated Guardian. The Guardian assumes responsibility for:
- Maintaining the integrity of the composition
- Preserving its continuity over time
- Upholding its recorded position within the Register
This responsibility is both custodial and structural.
The Geneva Register

All compositions are formally recorded within the Geneva Register, maintained under the custodial responsibility of Atelier WOCS in Geneva.
Each entry records the composition, its date of attribution, and its designated Guardian within a structured and continuous framework.
Organised in successive volumes, the Register establishes a fixed chronology of attribution and continuity.
Lineage and Transmission

Guardianship may be transmitted through registered succession. Successors are inscribed within the Geneva Register, ensuring the continuity of attribution across generations while preserving the integrity of the original entry.
Cultural Placement

In select instances, compositions may be called upon for institutional placement or cultural presentation. Such invitations are issued with discretion and governed by principles of coherence, preservation, and contextual relevance. When a composition is presented, its Guardian remains formally acknowledged within associated documentation.
A Continuous Engagement

Guardianship does not constitute acquisition. It establishes a recorded position within the Geneva Register. Each inscription reflects an ongoing responsibility, ensuring continuity, preservation, and transmission across time.
